Even though I have lived in South Carolina for almost fourteen years, I was actually born in Norwalk, Connecticut. My father was a United Methodist pastor so we moved a lot. We moved from Norwalk, to Mt. Kisco, NY, and then to a little town called Darien in Connecticut. When I was in fourth grade my family moved to Pennsylvania, 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia where we stayed till I graduated high school.
I graduated from Clemson in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education and started teaching 3rd grade at Midway. In my first two years of teaching I earned my masters in Technology in Education through a Lesley University cohort program. I taught 3rd grade for nine years at Midway and this will be my second year teaching 4th.
Going on an annual camping trip to Maine, made me a lover of the outdoors and camping. I also enjoy loving on my two pets, Emma, my cat, and Max, my dog. I love incorporating technology into the classroom, and it never stops surprising me to see how much the children already know and can teach me!
